Retreats and Specialty Programs.
A portion of your tuition goes directly into our retreats and scholarships fund, making it possible to have more luxury at a lower cost, or even sponsored. These are decisions you'll make with your mentor; as yoga teachers ourselves, we want the same things you want - exotic yoga vacations and opportunities to learn from the leading teachers sometimes. If it fits into your purpose plan and our budget, we try to provide it.
We also offer fun retreats and adventures available to all our grads - check out this year's line up so far....

Hawaii, May 12 - 19, 2018
Our 2018 retreats include a week at an amazing private estate on the big island of Hawaii. Our chosen property is 4 houses surrounding 2 pools on 2 acres. One of the houses (early bird) will be equipped for self-serve breakfast and snacks, and our morning meditations and yoga practice will take place there. The big house will be the place for catered dinners and "late night" people, and the quiet folks will be tucked away in the other 2. We'll have rented cars and bikes - town and beach are both nearby, and each day will look something like this:
- Morning meditation time
- Morning yoga practice
- Breakfast: self serve continental breakfast
- Morning Excursions: We will have group tours to beaches, volcanoes, jungles, boat rides, lunch
- Afternoon Mix: Most afternoons will include time for siesta, hanging by the pool, doing your own thing. If you are in the 300 hour program there will be some afternoon yoga experience or study to complete, nothing too intense. You will have lots of time to practice and experience how yoga works to nurture and support us.
- Dinner: We will have a professional cook taking care of us each evening, and a cleaning service. The house will have beer and wine and plentiful snacks.
- Evening: Most evenings we will offer a wind down yoga practice and meditation as an option for people who want a quiet time, but we know folks will also want to be playful in the evenings, and that's ok too. We will plan at least one evening adventure - a moonlit walking meditation on the beach perhaps?
It's a great opportunity to see an amazing place, connect with your friends and colleagues, relax with your sweetie. $1080 + flight is the price for this dream trip, and our 300 hour students get 50% off the retreat. It's just $540 + flight for them, and includes 80 contact training hours.

Scholarship 2: Pura Vida Yoga Spa & Resort, Costa Rica, Winter 2016
In March, 2016, 3 yoga teachers came to the amazing Pura Vida resort on Costa Rica to facilitate and lead an intense week long yoga training retreat. Ten 200 hour teachers graduated with us on CR, and our 300 hour teachers offered feedback, advanced posture labs, workshops, and support. Our students and guests spent the week with a mix of yoga, touring, relaxing by the pool, and deepening their experience and knowledge of the yoga lifestyle.
It made it possible to support Elise Siedel's desire to go deeper into Restorative Yoga philsosophy and practice. She was inspired by Judith Lassiter at Estes Park in 2016, and we provided a scholarship for her to spend a weekend training in Los Angeles in 2017. It serves all of us; Camp Utopia now has a trainer in restorative yoga - our Texas trainees all benefit from her experience.
