Auspicious isn't fancy, it's fresh from the dirt. Read on for more on the foods we get to eat when we eat like the ancient yogis.

Sweet, fresh, whole, natural and easy to digest is definitely the overall theme of the Pradipika eating guidelines. The ancient yogis understood that digestion is one of our biggest energy costs, and when we don't waste it there, we'll have loads to spare.

Today, think about what auspicious food means for you. If you make it with love and mindfulness, many foods can be auspicious, We can't all be farmers, but you don't have to have a green thumb to grow your own sprouts and herbs in the kitchen. What do the local farms in your region grow? What healthy, wonderful foods are being made right in your town?

Post a picture of your auspicious food or your favorite healthy sweet on Instagram if you are playing along, and don't forget to hashtag the sponsors.

10 Seconds a day

It really does take just a few seconds to rinse your sprout jars every day. Lentils and sunflowers are just pennies to grow into power foods. It takes 3 -4 days to get them ready to eat, so I keep a few jars in rotation. Super crunchy goodness.
