Getting Social: Level 1
Knowing the Basics can take you a long way. Some of you are online pros, some of you are tech averse. Unfortunately, trying to avoid it completely makes it harder to fill your classes.
This basics program will offer how-to handouts or videos for getting started with building your own websites, writing better blogs, understanding Instagram and Facebook and how to use them, Search Engine Optimization, building great email lists, and creating a social media marketing plan. We will use a Facebook group as our portal for learning, feedback and discussion. To gain credit for this course, you will demonstrate advancement by stating your goals in the group, and following through. We will answer your questions, give feedback as you progress, and be the audience to help you stay on task and experiment with before you "go live."
That may begin with: "I need to send out regular email blasts, and so my plan is to create my list, set up my mail account, design a template, send a test round, add a subscribe button to my website, and create a marketing plan for 12 months of emails."
It sounds like a lot but it isn't, and when it is done you'll have a plan to follow and the confidence to just repeat, repeat, repeat.

No 2 teachers are alike. We all need to have some things in common, and we'd all like to know more about all kinds of things. Online programs adapt your learning to your goals.
