Varying in content each year and each territory, you can expect deeper yoga basics, including meditation, asana, and pranayama practices. It may also include other disciplines, wisdom or experiences like massage techniques, Ayurveda, nutrition, healing oils, herbs, experiences in nature, creative arts, sounding, grounding, sacred circles.... We want you to leave feeling connected and nurtured. We also want to move you forward on course planning - the 300 is not passive learning, you will be building your own classes, workshops, and following your purpose actively throughout the program. But how? After we enjoy the learning, we will evaluate and discuss the workshop elements - what works to make a great workshop? How do people learn? How do good teachers succeed? What's going to work for you? You'll be thinking about your own plans, and you'll design a class or workshop to apply your new yoga knowledge with your new teaching skill. You'll be thinking about how to balance all the elements of creating a great learning experience for your own students; things like timing, pace, group vs individual work, personal experience vs lecture style, good visuals, props and learning aids. You'll be learning how to present your best self, with the tools that fit you best. By the end of the weekend, you'll feel empowered to start planning. There are so many ways to be a yoga teacher. Weekend 1 provides the map.
